Generators and Sources
There are a number of voltage and current generators in SuperSpice. These generators have different outputs depending on what run type is performed.
DC Generator
The DC generator is used for generating DC voltages/currents and also for setting AC voltage used in an AC analysis.
The DC generator has fields to specify:
DC Voltage/current - used in all analysis types.
AC Voltage/current - used in AC analysis.
AC Phase - used in AC analysis.
IMD1 and IMD2 - These are the signal amplitudes used in Distortion analysis.
Time Domain Generators
These generators are Sine, Pulse, Piecewise Linear, Exp, Single frequency FM. They have various fields that determine their output in a Transient analysis.
Each of these generators also have additional fields as in the DC generators. This allows them to be used for dual purposes.
Note:
The DC value specified in these time domain generators will not be used in a Transient analysis, unlike the DC generator which is used in all run types. The DC field will only be used in a DC analysis.
