Transient Power
The Signal Analysis setup allows for the automatic calculation of component average power for transient runs. This is the real power that the component will dissipate.
This feature is accessed by the Menu "Setups\Signal Analysis, toolbar button "SA", Transient Power" tab.
The grayed out run start time and stop time are the times that transient data is available.
The "Start time" and "End Time" set the where the power integration time region. Typically this can be set to the full range noted above. However, it may be desirable to only integrate after initial startup transients. If end time is zero, the max range of the simulation results will be used.
Enable mouse probing of power
If "Enable mouse probing of power" is checked, after each run, transient power for all components will be calculated. Mousing over the component will then cause the component power to be displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the main window, and also in the waveform data readout docked dialog window, at the bottom left of the main window.
