Model Library Manager

Standard spice3 models and subcircuit files may be loaded into the model library manager. Files are arranged in a list, and each file itself can have a number of standard spice/xspice models or subcircuits in them.

or

2 Select the "Components\Model Library..." menu item.

Adding Model Files

1 Drag drop the file from Windows Explorer to the SuperSpice main window. You can close the model file after it is displayed if you wish. It will remain loaded in the manager.

or

2 Invoke the model library manager and use the add file browse buttons.

or

3 Press the "Md" toolbar button.

ReRun File Generator - Create File Button

A default set of Worst Case Rerun statements in a ReRun file that can be directly used to perform a parametric sweep is generated with the "Create File" Button. This is especially useful for lossy transmission lines, as these components cannot currently be varied by the parameter or worst case setup feature.

Note:

If a message is displayed that the model and symbol are not compatible make sure that  a .model is not being connected to a symbol that has been set to a .subckt, or vise versa. To fix this, open up the Symbol Library Manager, select that symbol and set it to the one you want via the radio buttons. Then replace that symbol on the schematic.

Note 4:

Not all of the SuperSpice symbols may be connected to spice models. Adding manufactures models is usually just a case of drag and drop of their model files.

You may have to make your own symbols for the models that are included with SuperSpice.

Not all of the model files distributed with SuperSpice are loaded into the GUI by default. They are in the SuperSpice\system folder
