SuperSpice uses standard Berkeley files, but most of this is transparent to the user. SuperSpice will create a standard Spice netlist and subcircuits and use standard model files. The preferred method of including component model files is via the in-built SuperSpice framework. i.e. add the appropriate model file via the "Component Library" menu option. SuperSpice will extract the required models from this file and write to a SuperSpice include file, to be passed to the Spice engine. This can be checked by looking at the Model include file (pink M button), don’t edit this file. User model file include statements and models, or any other standard spice command lines can be added manually in the user include file (the pink I button), although the SuperSpice GUI might not understand these statements.
