The symbol library manager manages all of the symbols used in SuperSpice. Symbols are the components that you place on the schematic such as transistors, resistors, capacitors etc. Models form the instructions to the simulator as to how that symbol behaves electrically
Symbols are arranged in individual files and can be copied pasted and deleted. The currently loaded list of symbol and model files can be saved with the "Save Library Setup" button and reloaded with the "Load Library Setup" button. This can be useful if you don't want to load of models and symbols for a particular design, thereby freeing up some memory, and allowing faster access to the loaded files. Removing symbol and models files does not delete them from where they are saved in Windows Explorer. Deleting the symbols or models themselves will permanently erase those symbols or models.
The symbol files are shown in a list and clicking on each file shows the symbols in that file in them. Symbols may be attached to a standard spice ".model", ".subckt", "voltage/current source" or another SuperSpice schematic. Note: The same symbol can be used simultaneous for different models.
