Test Points

Test points have an option, set as the default mode, 'Intelligent default', in the waveform properties dialogue, tab graph. This option keeps displays in the most common format when moving test points. If there is  say, one graph displaying AC data, and another displaying Transient data, It keeps the test point data for AC in db's and the Transient data as simple magnitude. If it is turned off, when the test point is moved, if it is a DB test point, the transient display will change to dbs as well, which is not what one usually wants.

Waveform Display On LB Click

Left button Click with Alt, on a wire or pin will display that node signal. Left button Click with Shift on a wire or pin will remove that node signal. These waveforms scaling (e.g. db) are setup with the virtual test point setup dialogue, accessed via the "green probe with red tick" toolbar button.

Signal on Click Virtual Test Point Dialog Setup

The "green probe with red tick" toolbar button. The menu for this dialog is under "Test Points\SignalOnClick" on a Schematic page, and under the "Graph\Signal List Setup" menu on the waveform page. This dialog is a virtual copy of a real test point setup. It sets how signals will be displayed when wire/pin are clicked, or selects signals via the docked "Signal" list tab view.

Tabbed Signal List

The Signal on Click virtual test point setup dialog described above sets up how signals will be displayed when a signal  in clicked on in the list tabbed, docked workspace manager e.g. To display magnitude and phase on a single click of a signal name in the list, the virtual test put should be so set.

Probe Mode

If probe mode is enabled (menu "Graph\Probe Mode" or the tool bar button with the scope probe ) single clicking on a wire, pin, device will "solo" that waveform, i.e. it will immediately display that voltage/current/power and clear all other traces. As is the case in non-probe mode, holding alt while clicking will add waveforms to the existing one, and shift-click will delete just a single waveform.

There is a toolbar button to quickly enable/disable this mode, but for existing installs, it may not initially show. To show the button, press the small modify toolbar button on the toolbar "SS SO PO R G N.." and select the 'customize" menu item.
